Future Leadership Team Reviews Housing Data, New Members Nominated to the Team

On June 7, 2023, the Greater Dubuque Development Future Leadership Team met for its regularly scheduled quarterly meeting. This 30-person advisory team meets quarterly to discuss relevant economic development topics and how Greater Dubuque Development and the community can be most effective in addressing challenges and opportunities.  Rick Dickinson, President & CEO, and Nic Hockenberry, Director of Workforce Programing provided an update on housing needs, challenges and strategies.

The Future Leadership Team shared feedback on housing-related challenges facing the community and offered strategies for incenting and accelerating housing development in the region.

The meeting was the last for several outgoing Future Leadership Team members including: Chad Behnke (Behnke Enterprises), Jessica Brossett (MidWestOne Bank) Becky Conlon (Conlon Construction), Jaclyn Esqueda (Credo Higher Education Consulting), Mike Fortman (TH Media), Nate Harold (MedOne Pharmacy Benefit Solutions), Alex Karwarth (Progressive Processing LLC), Dawn Lueken (John Deere Dubuque Works), Michelle Reidy (U.S. Bank), Cayla Schneider (Loras College), Emily Simmons (Empower), and Mike Portzen, Jr, (Portzen Construction).  We thank them for their guidance to our staff and board of directors during their time on the committee.

Newly appointed members of the Future Leadership Team, serving a two year term from 2023-2025, include: Nate Breitsprecker (National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium), Amy Edmonds, (University of Dubuque), Felicia Gibbs (Eide Bailly), Greg Greazel (John Deere Dubuque Works), Allison Hinga (TH Media), Stacy Kansky (Q Casino), Andrew Katrichis (U.S. Bank), Marty Maiers (Diamond Jo Casino), Josh McQuillen (Capra Bank), Jon Moore (MedOne Pharmacy Benefit Solutions), Gina Noel (Loras College), Adam Portzen (Portzen Construction), Amanda Ramler (Great River Learning), Jon Sarrazin, (McCoy Group), and Gretchen Tucker (UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital). The next scheduled quarterly meeting is September 6, 2023.

The 30 members of the Future Leadership Team serve staggered 24-month terms, and provide feedback to the board of directors and management team on annual and long-range strategies to achieve the objectives of Greater Dubuque Development. One member of the Future Leadership Team serves as a voting member of the Greater Dubuque Development Board of Directors.
